Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to any work carried out by JP Locksmiths for residential, commercial or landlord customers across Carlisle, Cumbria and the Scottish Borders.

Quotes & Pricing

Prices are agreed with the customer before work begins wherever possible. For emergency call-outs, an honest estimate is given by phone; the final price is confirmed on site before any work starts, and no VAT is added.

Call-Out Fees

No call-out fee between 7am and 11pm. Outside these hours a call-out fee applies and will be confirmed with you before a visit is arranged.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of work unless a separate invoicing arrangement has been agreed in advance, for example with a letting agency managing multiple properties.

Access & Non-Destructive Entry

Non-destructive entry methods are always attempted first. Where a lock must be drilled or a door forced to gain access, this will be explained and agreed with the customer before proceeding, except where immediate access is required for safety reasons.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or rearrange a booked appointment, please give as much notice as possible by phone.

Liability

Work is carried out with reasonable skill and care. Any issue with completed work should be reported as soon as possible so it can be put right.
